Customize XTerm Fonts in Ubuntu Server

Create a .Xdefaults (deprecated) or .Xresources file in your home directory:
touch $HOME/.Xresources

Assuming that the package terminus-font is installed, add the following lines (the ones in blue are required):
! xterm --------------------------------------------------------------------
xterm*VT100.geometry:     80x25
! Ubuntu Server settings are both lines below:
*VT100*faceName: Terminus
*VT100*faceSize: 14

Run the following commands:
$ xrdb $HOME/.Xresources

Verification:
$ xterm

You should now see your new font settings.
